7 Lakes — from Samarkand and back (all-inclusive)

Discover the magical lakes of Tajikistan and compare the lifestyles of two neighboring nations. We are heading to the Seven Lakes! However, we will visit six of them due to the inaccessibility of the last one. The waters of each lake enchant visitors with stunning shades — from turquoise and ultramarine to deep violet. The color changes depending on the location of each lake. Along the way, we will рассказывать вам about the lifestyle of our neighbors and highlight the differences between two nations — Tajiks and Uzbeks.

• What to expect
• 09:00 — Departure from Samarkand and transfer to the border via the village of Jartepa
• 10:00 — Border crossing to Tajikistan (approximately 40 minutes). Visit to an authentic Tajik local market
• 12:00–12:30 — Lunch at a traditional Asian restaurant
• 12:30–17:30 — رحلة عبر البحيرات (Journey through the lakes). Each lake has its own name, but they are often referred to simply by numbers, starting from the lowest:
• First Lake — Nezhigon (“Eyelash”), altitude 1640 m
• Second Lake — Soya (“Shadow”), altitude 1740 m
• Third Lake — Gushor, altitude 1770 m
• Fourth Lake — Nofin, altitude 1820 m
• Fifth Lake — Khurdak (“Little one”), altitude 1870 m
• Sixth Lake — Marguzor (“Meadow”), the largest in the chain, altitude 2140 m
• Seventh Lake — Hazorchashma (“Thousand Springs”), altitude 2332 m
• The distance between the lakes is about 15 km. It is possible to reach the sixth lake by a regular vehicle, but the seventh lake is accessible only by jeep, which is why we do not visit it.
• 18:00 — Return border crossing
• 20:00 — Arrival in Samarkand
