One day in an Uzbek family

Dear guests of our sunny land, we invite you to join a unique experience where you can spend 24 hours living like a true Uzbek! You will be warmly welcomed in the village of Mirza Boglon, in the family of music teacher Alikul. Together with the family members, you will explore the agricultural fields, learn more about traditional village life, and even take part in preparing a traditional dinner together.

• What to expect:
• You will spend an entire day in the village of Mirza Boglon, staying with the family of music teacher Alikul and experiencing authentic rural life in Uzbekistan.
• Alikul and his wife Marhabo have six children — four sons and two daughters. Their daughters are married, and their sons are also married. Two of their sons currently live with their families in their father’s house. Alikul and Marhabo are proud grandparents of 19 grandchildren!
• In the village of Mirza Boglon, where you will spend the day, local farmers grow onions using traditional methods. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to see how cows are milked, taste homemade Uzbek yogurt called “katyk”, and discover many interesting aspects of everyday life in Samarkand’s countryside.
• Alikul has been teaching music at a local school for many years. He will perform traditional Uzbek melodies on national musical instruments and sing classical Uzbek songs for you.
• Alongside agriculture, Alikul’s children have opened a village kitchen called “Billur”, where they prepare traditional Uzbek dishes such as soup, manti, and samsa. You will have the chance to taste these authentic homemade specialties.
