This full-day trip takes you to the Hissar Fortress, located only 25 km west of Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Once the residence of Bek — a deputy of the Bukhara Emir — this historic site features 1-meter-thick fortress walls, gun slots for rifles and cannons, and the remnants of its glorious past. Although much of the original structure has been lost over time, the majestic gates made of burnt brick still stand, with two towering cylinders and a lancet arch — a fine example of 18th–19th-century Bukhara architecture.
