After breakfast, we begin our Isfahan city tour at Naqsh-e Jahan Square, one of Iran’s most spectacular historic squares and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We explore the magnificent Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, visit Ali Qapu Palace, and continue to the impressive Imam Mosque, discovering the architecture, art, and history of the Safavid era. We then walk through the historic Isfahan Grand Bazaar, where traditional shops, handicrafts, spices, and local life bring the old city to life. After exploring the bazaar, we visit Chehel Sotoun Palace, a beautiful Safavid-era palace surrounded by gardens and known for its historic paintings and elegant architecture. We then have lunch at a traditional historic restaurant on Chaharbagh Abbasi Street, one of the most famous historic avenues in Isfahan. After lunch, we continue to Si-o-se-pol Bridge, one of Isfahan’s most famous historic bridges and a remarkable example of Safavid architecture. We finish our day at Khaju Bridge, another magnificent Safavid-era bridge, where we can enjoy the historic atmosphere of the Zayanderud riverfront and the beautiful architecture of Isfahan.
