About me

My name is Khalid. I am 48 years old with 25 years in the Tourism and Egyptology fields. I have guided more than 6000 tourists, mainly English speakers, across Egypt, and have shown them more than 55 different Archaeological, Historical and Recreational sites within Egypt. I am a freelance Tour Guide and Organizer, including accommodation, transportation, internal flights, etc. Moreover I serve as an Interpreter, Translator, and Egyptology commentator. I was born and raised in the city of Alexandria, which lies about 230 km north of Cairo, the capital of Egypt. I had been graduated from El-Menia University’s College of Tourism and Hotels in May 1998, having studied History, Tourism and Egyptology. The commencement of my career as a guide began shortly after, in November 1998. My time working as a Receptionist and then front office Manager on a Nile Cruise ship in upper Egypt between Luxor and Aswan gave me the opportunity to be trained by experienced guides as well as to be in direct contact with tourists. After receiving my Guiding License in June, 2000, I started working as a Freelance English-speaking tour guide with both local and International tour companies all over Egypt. By 2006 I started organizing private tours, including individually tailored and budget packages. May include “Airline tickets internationally and within Egypt. All kind of Transportation like Vans ,Limos ,Buses and Trains reservations within Egypt.All accommodation and facilities like Hotels, Cruises and Night sleeping trains within Egypt.And above all that finishing the legal Tourist Police lawful papers.Tour packages include excursions with or without guiding, to The Pyramids, temples, tombs, museums, and monuments, as well as recreational sites and Safaris. In conclusion, I love my job and adore my country! That passion helps me to learn more every day in order to share the greatness of my grandfathers, and mainly to put a smile on my tourist’s face, giving them an unforgettable memories and fun. I will always be ready to serve the tourist and help them enjoy their time in my country safely and happily.
